So 2023 is over, which means it’s time to take a look back at an insane year over here. A year in which we not only launched the new At The Movies website but also released tons of great soundtracks on vinyl.

So we reckoned it’s time to take a look back and reminisce about our very best soundtracks which were released in 2023

Last of us

The hit series game which kicked-off a cult-like following which was followed by a sequel and even its own HBO Series. Gustavo Santaolla went all out on this soundtrack and created a piece of art which is loved by fans of the series and vinyl lovers in general.

Call me by your name

Summer love and songs which will bring tears to your eyes, Sufjan Stevens always knows how to move us which is why Call Me By Your Name is one of our most loved vinyl records. Combine this with a heartwarming story and superior acting by the likes of Timothée Chalamet, making this one for every vinyl lover.

Interstellar

The Interstellar Soundtrack on vinyl might just be our most known soundtrack. The master himself, mister Hans Zimmer, went all out on this one. And songs like “Cornfield Chase” and “Tick-Tock” not only are known through the movie but even went viral over the years. A soundtrack worthy of Christopher Nolan’s epic storytelling and McConaughey’s stellar performance

Titanic

This one you could’ve seen coming and no, we’re not talking about the iceberg. The Titanic Soundtrack is a staple amongst soundtrack lovers and one to add no matter what. One of the soundtracks which put our dear friend James Horner on the map as one off the greats.

The Hunger Games

A soundtrack which we were astounded by and which we volunteered for to start pressing a.s.a.p. The Hunger Games: The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. A Soundtrack which was composed by James Newton Howard and one which was received very well. Following up the already popular Hunger Games Franchise, this new movie hit the box office accompanied with a fresh soundtrack which blew us away.

Spider-Man: Homecoming

It’s your friendly neighborhood Spider-man and this time, he’s on vinyl! The vinyl soundtrack from the Homecoming movie was one of our most popular records this year, especially amongst our superhero category. Composed by Michael Giacchino, this soundtrack has been getting a lot of attention and the response has been great! And as a bonus: this soundtrack features the from the 1960s cartoon series composed by Paul Francis Webster and Robert "Bob" Harris.

Top Boy

Grey and grimy London sets the tone for the Netflix hit series “Top Boy” and Brian Eno knows how to bring this raw setting to life through his music. The hit series gained traffic through its storytelling, the setting, and the involvement of none-other then Drake himself. But those with great taste in music know better: the involvement of Brian Eno is what set’s this project apart. A record which is a great addition to your collection, even if you don’t collect soundtracks.

In the Fade

A name which might not be the most know as the show is a German Drama but a great one at that. A name which might be more known is Joshua Homme who you might know from “ The Queens Of The Stone Age”. Not only is his band featured in this great soundtracks but also known names like Lykke Li and Courtney Barnett, amongst many.

Puss In Boots

Our vinyl for Puss in Boots is our favorite amongst the animated soundtracks we have. This hit from DreamWorks was composed by Heitor Pereira who is known for scoring the Despicable Me movies and of course also featuring Antonio Banderas as the charismatic Puss in Boots.

George and Tammy

Jessica Chastain and Michael Shannon are basically shining as they portray country legends Tammy Wynette and George Jones. And this 26-track soundtrack features all songs which were sung by the actors themselves, making this a real unique piece which will stand out when it comes to soundtracks.
