Experience the tension and emotional weight of Pressure (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), featuring an original score by Academy Award-winning composer Volker Bertelmann. Released by Mutant in partnership with Back Lot Music and Focus Features, this cinematic soundtrack accompanies a gripping historical drama set during the critical hours leading up to D-Day.

Set in the 72 hours before the Allied invasion of Normandy, Pressure follows General Dwight D. Eisenhower and Captain James Stagg as they confront an extraordinary decision. With the future of the Allied operation hanging in the balance, the film explores the immense responsibility of predicting the weather and determining whether conditions will allow one of the most consequential military operations in history to proceed.

Bertelmann’s score brings a distinctive musical perspective to the story, reflecting both the scientific precision of meteorology and the extraordinary human pressure surrounding the decision. In his collaboration with director Anthony Maras, the composer sought to capture Stagg’s commitment to scientific evidence alongside the courage required to stand by his expertise when the stakes could hardly be higher.

Known for his emotionally powerful and atmospheric film compositions, Bertelmann creates a score that supports the film’s suspense, uncertainty and human drama. His music adds another dimension to a story in which nature, science and leadership converge at a pivotal moment in history.
