BESCHREIBUNG

Bardo, die falsche Chronik einer Handvoll Wahrheiten , oder einfach Bardo , ist ein mexikanischer epischer schwarzer Comedy-Dramafilm aus dem Jahr 2022, bei dem Alejandro G. Iñárritu Co-Autor und Regisseur war. In dem Film spielen Daniel Giménez Cacho und Griselda Siciliani die Hauptrollen. Der Film handelt von einem Journalisten/Dokumentarfilmer, der in sein Heimatland Mexiko zurückkehrt und in Form von traumhaften Visionen eine existenzielle Krise durchmacht.

Bardo feierte seine Premiere bei den 79. Internationalen Filmfestspielen von Venedig im Wettbewerb um den Goldenen Löwen. Kritiker lobten die Darbietungen, die Kameraführung und die Regie. Bei der 95. Oscarverleihung wurde der Film für die beste Kamera nominiert.

Bryce Dessner von The National schrieb die Musik und schrieb: „Wir haben die Musik in Mexiko in den wunderschönen Sony Music Studios in Mexiko-Stadt und im Topetitud Studio in Coyocan aufgenommen. Die Aufnahme der Musik für Bardo und die Zusammenarbeit mit großartigen mexikanischen Musikern, darunter Blaskapellen aus Oaxaca und Musiker des National Symphony Orchestra, war für mich eine unglaubliche Freude und etwas, an das ich mich mein Leben lang erinnern werde.“

Der Soundtrack von Bardo enthält auch Songs von David Bowie, Genesis, José José u. a. Die 2LP ist als limitierte Auflage von 750 einzeln nummerierten Exemplaren auf grünem (LP 1) und weißem (LP 2) Vinyl erhältlich, befindet sich in einer Klapphülle und enthält 2 bedruckte Innenhüllen.
