Enter a world of secrets, psychological suspense and unsettling revelations with Verity (Original Motion Picture Soundtrack), featuring an original score by Academy Award-winning German composer Volker Bertelmann, also known as Hauschka. Adapted from Colleen Hoover’s bestselling novel, this psychological thriller explores the dangerous boundaries between truth and fiction, desire and manipulation.

The story follows Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer portrayed by Dakota Johnson, who accepts an opportunity to ghostwrite for celebrated author Verity Crawford, played by Anne Hathaway. After moving to the remote Crawford estate, Lowen discovers a disturbing collection of autobiographical notes that appear to reveal deeply troubling secrets about Verity and her husband Jeremy, portrayed by Josh Hartnett. As she investigates further, the line between confession and fiction becomes increasingly difficult to distinguish.

Bertelmann’s score provides a musical backdrop for the film’s atmosphere of mystery, tension and psychological unease. Known for his distinctive approach to contemporary film composition, the German composer combines experimental sensibilities with expressive musical textures to create immersive soundscapes that complement complex characters and emotionally charged storytelling.

Verity brings together the unsettling atmosphere of the film and Bertelmann’s distinctive compositional style, making it an intriguing release for fans of psychological thrillers, contemporary film scores and the work of Hauschka.
